Stephen is a Chartered Engineer with 20 plus years of experience in designing large-scale building projects across Australia. He is recognised for his collaborative and creative approach, his alternative designs which focus on simplification and modularisation to improve constructability and reduce material usage and his support and contributions to celebrated architecture.


Stephen began his career at Lendlease Design in Sydney, learning his craft under the leadership of renowned structural engineers Rocco Bressi and Mark Stanbrook. During his time at LLD, Stephen had the privilege of working on high-profile Lendlease commercial projects such as 420 George Street, ANZ Headquarters and the Myer Building and retail developments such as Canelands Central and Charlestown Square.


Since moving to Melbourne in 2009, Stephen has designed and led multidiscipline teams to deliver a diverse range of major and award-winning projects in the sectors of education, health, residential, sports and aquatic, defence and aviation. His recent projects include Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct ($740M), Point Cook RAAF Base Redevelopment ($160M), Westmead Innovation Quarter ($350M), Melbourne Airport Northern Infill Terminal Expansion ($330M), MCEC Novotel Hotel ($190M), UNO Apartments ($200M), Melbourne Quarter ($2B) and the award-winning Geelong Library and Heritage Centre.
