Description
The Central Courtyard redevelopment is Macquarie University’s largest and most transformative capital works project to date. This vibrant and dynamic precinct covers 68,000sqm of the campus space including the Central Courtyard and 4 surrounding buildings. The new buildings serve a variety of functions and deliver modernised social and educational infrastructure at the very heart of the campus.
The redevelopment comprises 25 formal teaching spaces and adjacent informal learning areas that complement the student hub at 18 Wally’s Walk. The project also includes new retail, food and beverage, a U-bar, graduation hall, research office and two student accommodation towers, providing 341 beds.
