Liverpool Hospital

End Client

Project Value
$410 million

The Liverpool Hospital Expansion features large floor plates with ward “pods” that project from the hub of the main building. The building facades were architecturally treated with various sun-shading devices and cladding features which required an ingenious structural support system to integrate with the functional space requirements of the hospital.

Special Features:
Fully post tensioned floor structure (consisting of 50 concrete pours) designed to resist the vibrational accelerations induced by footfall and medical equipment. The design was modelled, coordinated and documented using a fully integrated 3D BIM Revit model.
